Accessibility Statement

Location

The Bowls Centre is located at the bottom of Ferguson Avenue off the main A548 coast road in Prestatyn, heading West it is located just before the Ffrith Festival Gardens. There are no signs directing you to the centre from the main road. The nearest bus stop is on the A548 a short distance from Ferguson Avenue. Caution must be taken if arriving by Bus as the path from Ferguson Avenue to the Bowls Centre car park is loose gravel and potholed.

The Car park is in front of the main doors and has Seven (7) Accessible parking bays.

Entrance

The entrance to the Bowls Centre is via two sets of double doors which are unassisted but are light to use with ample width for wheelchair users.

Toilets

There is an accessible toilet near the entrance.

Facility

The Bar and restaurant are on the same floor as the entrance and the facility is open plan with no restriction to easy access through out. The Bowling mat has steps down to it from the Bar area, there is a ramp access to the right of the mat.

Equipment available

Outdoor footware and wheelchairs are not allowed on the playing area. Mat Shoes and bowling wheelchair are available on site as are Bowl Lifters for assisting in picking up Bowls.

Bar

There is no dropped area to the Bar but the staff  are Welcome Host trained and provide a transfer service to the tables. A clip board is available for writing orders to hand to the staff.
